One small step for man...

Hey everyone. Evan just turned 7 months old! Time is flyin'! His new accomplishment is crawling/scooting. He's been working on it for a while. It looks like Evan just needed to observe his cousins crawling around to realize he could do it! It's so funny, it's like a cross between the worm and a one armed army crawl. The first day we had to bribe him with his favorite things (i.e. remotes, cell phones) to get him to crawl. Then the next day it was like something clicked and he realized that is how he was going to get what he wanted and where he wanted! He followed me all over the house today, even into the bathroom! Yes my days of privacy are over, although Chaundra reminded me that I haven't had privacy since Haleigh's been around :) Anyways, he is just so much fun and is definitely keeping us on our toes and keeping us smiling. Here's just a little video of him we took trying to get the remote :) -Love to you all Charla

December '07: Our Trip To Sacramento

In Decemeber we went to Sacramento for my company Christmas Party. While we were there we made sure to get in a visit with our friends (and Charla's cousin) Adam and Heather Rego. Adam turned 30 this month, and Charla and I were the decoy for his suprise party. We went to eat dinner together while scores of people showed up at their house. Adam was really suprised-- he had no idea!

Six Months!

Evan will be six months old in a couple of days! He is just
growing up way too fast! He's getting so big and so grown up :)
Here's a picture of him with his friend Evelyn. She's just two weeks
older than him. Evan just kept grinning at her when they were
playing, it was so cute. There's a couple more pictures of him that I
just couldn't resist :)

This was taken a few weeks ago, but we thought it was soooo funny. Listen to the end... Evan sounds like an Ewok or something. Charla and I crack up everytime we watch this.

Lake Powell Trip (2005)

Charla and I went to Lake Powell in the summer of 2005. On our way back home we stopped by the beginning of the Grand Canyon.

We spent some time on a walk bridge at the visitor center.

This is where the water turns from a beautiful emerald green-blue to the yucky chocolate milk color. Just a couple of miles upstream is the dam at Lake Powell.

On the drive to the Grand Canyon, we say many awesome nature scenes. This is just one. There were actually many of these rock formations.

Moving to AZ in 2004

Here are some pics from back in 2004 when we moved from Sacto. to Chandler, AZ...

I loaded everything we owned into a little 6'x8' trailer, my little Ford Ranger and Charla's Toyota Corolla. Justin helped drive everything out with me.

On our way out of town we stopped for some dinner. Here I am thinking this was not such a good idea.

These were taken a while ago... they are of My brothers and our families at the dunes outside of Yuma (yuck!).

I rolled the quad and Justin and I were trying to fix the flag becasue it snapped off!

Haleigh Turns 5!

It's a little late, but our neice Haleigh had her birthday on Oct. 5th.

Hungry Fella?

Evan is getting close to eating real food. He knows that he wants everything mommy and daddy are eating. We can't eat with him on our laps anymore. He's getting so strong and it make for a difficult dinner when he goes for our plates and cups. Here Evan is trying to get to my bagel that I was eating with him in my arms...


last week Charla and I went to Paradise Bakery with Evan and we had lunch. When we left Charla asked me to hold her chocolate chip cookie while she did something (I can't remember what). At the same time I was holding Evan and opening the door to leave. Once we got outside Charla asked for her cookie and I handed it to her, but it was broken- or so we thought. Tunrs out that Evan snatched part of the cookie while I was distracted and put it in his mouth. He seemed to enjoy the peice he was able to get into his mouth and down before we noticed. This one went down in his little baby journal... FIRST FOOD: CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE!

Some how Jarom has avoided bathing Evan until today... and there wasn't much "bathing" going on. It was more like play time in the tub. I washed him extra good the next time he got a bath ;)
