Evan loves to play on the dishwasher door. Whenever I do the dishes, and he hears the tray pull out, or the silverwear clink, he hustles over as fast as he can. It wasn't until yesterday that he got gutsy enought to climb on top of the door. Then he figured out he can reach tnings on the counter! Evan knew he was busted--we know because he avoids eye contact when he knows he's doing something he shouldn't even though he is grinning from ear to ear!
Here is Evan and his little friend Evelyn. They were born just two weeks apart. For the longest time they would just "parallel play," but now they are fully engaged with everything they do. We watch Evelyn every once in a while, and Evan loves it every time we do. We love watching these two play! Evan does silly things to try to impress her, it's starts young with the boys I guess! He's pretty smitten :)
I saw information about a new movie coming out. It is a documentary made by Ben Stein about evolution vs. creation and what is being taught in schools. Ben challenges everyone who believes in creation to stand up for it and do something that will influence the future of our education. This fight is about making sure that we have access to te truth.http://www.getexpelled.com/index.php
Grandma and Grandpa Martin came for a visit in March. We had a fun time trying to coordinate all the Martin families to get together in one place. Toward the end of the trip Evan warmed up to Grandpa, especially when he put string cheese and grapes on his arms!
