Haleigh Is Swimming!

Haleigh is swimming like a champ!  We are so proud of her!  She's had a few swim lessons with  my friend Chelsea who is a swim instructor and we weren't sure there for a while if she was going to do it.  Then after her last lesson she just started swimming, It helps that she thinks that little square piece of foam on her back is keeping her afloat :)  Thanks Chelsea! 

Evan & his Cicken!

This video is for Grandma Stacey!  Evan got this chicken/duck that sings the chicken dance from Grandma Stacey and has found a new love of it recently.  I tried to get him dancing more but as soon as he saw the camera he froze.  Then at the end he gives it a big hug, he loves giving hugs!

Traffic School!

So, I'm in the middle of taking an online traffic school/defensive driving course right now and I thought I would blog about how much I hate it!!!!  First of all I'm mad that I got the ticket in the first place!  I should mention, in my 12 years of driving I've never gotten a ticket!  They put one of those SUV's with the camera's on the highway in a 55 zone right before it goes to 65 so of course everybody is speeding up.  I get the stupid ticket in the mail with my lovely picture and now I have to do traffic school so it doesn't go on my record.

   I started traffic school earlier today right when I put Evan down for his nap thinking, surely I'll have enough time!  Uh, no!  It took me an hour just to register and then I had to send in all of these forms to the school so they could approve me to take the class which they said could take up to 24 hours!  So, I set aside this block of time and I can't even do it during that block of time!

   So I get the stuff faxed to them and they finally send me an email telling me that I can start the course.  So I started, they said it's a 4 1/2 hour course.  I'm thinking, oh, I can do it in 2 hours, uh wrong!  Each page is timed!  So I can't move on to the next page until the time runs out.  I'm a fast reader and would like to move on but can't, so I thought I would blog about how annoying it is in between my pages while I'm waiting for my time to run out :)  And by the way, I just learned that "Bad Attitudes Can Kill on the road" and  a Red Light means STOP!  I leave that with you!

Dinosaurs!

Evan is finally playing with his dinosaur that he made at Build a Bear!  He made it when he was about 6 or 7 months old and hasn't wanted to play with it at all.  I think it scared him because it was bigger than him for a while.  The other day while at Target we bought him some little dinosaurs to play with.  Ever since he's had his little dinosaurs to play with he's started playing with his big dinosaur!  So yesterday he was cracking me up and kept putting his dinosaur in his Tonka truck and was pushing him around the house.  I kept having to help him get the dinosaur situated upright because as you can see he was just shoving him in and couldn't get him to stay.

Sleeping bag rides!

Evan and Haleigh's new favorite thing is to do blanket/sleeping rides!  It started our with Haleigh pulling Evan around which was fantastic for me!  Then it ended up that I was pulling both of them!  It's sooo exhausting!  I kept trying to get Jarom to do one, he wouldn't, something about his back ;)  They are heavy and I found muscles in my arms that I never knew I had before and my fingers were permanently stuck in a weird position afterwards.  The kids loved it and of course Evan sat on the sleeping bag for like a half an hour after I passed out begging to go on more rides :)

Happy Fourth!

Just a quick post...  We had our bestest friends in town last week, Codee, Randy and their son Jamison.  It was sooo fun, we love seeing them!  We were sooo sad to see them go, especially Evan!  He misses Jamison, he kept going into the guest room the day after they left and talking like, where did my friend go??!!  Thanks Codee and Randy for coming to visit, we love you guys!

For the 4th we went to Movie in the Park and watch The Sand Lot with a few thousand other people :)  During the movie a monsoon storm picked up and they came on the loud speaker and said they were probably going to cancel the rest of the movie and the fireworks.  A few minutes later they said we were going to try and ride out the storm, Yeah!  It was really windy, which felt good, and the lightning was beautiful!  Then after the movie they did a fireworks show which was the worst fireworks show I've ever seen!  They were like, it's an hour long fireworks show, trying to talk it up.  The reason it was an hour long was because they set off 1 firework at a time with about a minute in between each one!  It was so boring and people were leaving, and Evan fell asleep.  Anyways, we still had a great 4th of July!
