This is what makes being a mom totally worth it!

Haleigh and Evan are so sweet. I've been so sick the last few days and been like a zombie on the couch. They disappeared for a while yesterday. Normally that would be cause for concern but I was too sick to care. Then they came in an hour later and handed me these Get Well cards that they made :) It just melted my heart. I love these two kids! And if you look closely at the cards you can see just how sick I was! They drew me with a giant frowny face in some sort of body bag on a coffin like black operating table! What's up with that :) Then they drew themselves each handing me a get well card :) Aren't they cute???!!!!!

Evan Swimming!

We just got back from Palm Springs! We spent a few days with The Bairs and had so much fun (except for the part where I got food poisoning and was up all night doing you know what, and you know what; but no one wants to hear about that!) Of course the kids favorite part was swimming at the pool everyday. Here's a little video of Evan swimming. The quality isn't great because it was sent from my phone by you can get the idea. He is such a little fish! He has always loved the water and been very comfortable and he is pretty much swimming now on his own! It never ceases to amaze me what little kids can do! Thanks to Heather for inviting us to Palm Springs, it was a blast!

Summer!

So this is what we've been up to! The pool, splash pad, slip and slide, and more pool! Evan is becoming such a good swimmer, he wants to be in the water all the time! Words cannot describe how much I love these guys! The other day I asked Evan if he wanted to have a baby at our house (I'm not pregnant people don't get your hopes up) He said, No. I said, you don't want a little brother or little sister? He said, I have a sister. I said, really? Who? He said, Haleigh's my sister mom! It just about melted my heart, she is like a member of our family and we love having her around :) Chaundra and I are headed to Palm Springs in few days with Evan and Haleigh to hang out with The Bairs! Really looking forward to it! That's Haleigh in the picture in case you can't tell! I couldn't get them all to look at the same time!

Evan is 3!

I just cannot believe that my sweet little Evan is 3! I could have a nervous breakdown just thinking about it. I just think he is the most wonderful child on the planet and want him to stay this age forever! Every day he makes Jarom and me laugh so hard; he is in that stage where he thinks he's funny so he's constantly trying to be funny :) He's so dang smart and constantly amazes me! We had his birthday party at Tumbleweed and it was soooo fun! They set up an obstacle course and did soccer and basketball and parachute and rode around on these little carts and made snakes! Then of course cake and presents :) He got a new bike because he has outgrown his tricycle. He LOVES it! He keeps wanting to go out in the garage and look at it, and wants to ride it all the time! It's taking some convincing right now to tell him we have to go to swim lessons right now instead of riding his bike! :) I love Evan more than I could possibly describe and am grateful everyday that he was sent to my family.

Just FYI, he THINKS he's smiling in this picture. You say, "Smile Evan," and that's what you get! I know all your kids have gone through that phase too! Evan's is lasting a little too long though :)

Sea World!

Last week we were so lucky to be able to take a trip to San Diego. It was soooo much fun. Evan loved every minute of it. He is still talking about how his favorite part of Sea World was feeding the dolphins and seeing the sharks! We were able to go to Sea World for 2 days and the beach twice, the weather was totally beautiful! Evan absolutely loved the beach. He could have stayed there all day jumping over waves and digging in the sand! Here's just a few pictures, my camera died so Chaundra has the rest of the pictures including an awesome one with Shamu! This one isn't the best but it's all I had :) I'll post the rest when I get them!

Such A Good Drawer!

Evan is such a good drawer for his age! He MUST get that from his dad! He started by drawing snowmen during winter, and now he's moved on to people. If you're wondering what the red things are in the first one, he says they're ears. The first one is a picture of me, Evan, and his friend Wyatt. The second one is a picture of Jarom, me, and Evan. The day after he drew the second one he was looking at it and said, "Hey! That guy's not supposed to have any hair! Where's my eraser?!" So absolutely hysterical!

Boys!

I overheard a conversation the other day between Evan and his cousin Grayson. It was so hysterical I have to write it down. They are typical boys! A girl conversation would not go like this :)

G: Hey, what's your name?
E: Evan.
G: Oh, cool. How do you spell that?
E: E-V-A-N
G: Cool, do you know how to spell my name?
E: Yeah
G: How?
E: I don't know.
G: G-R-A-Y-S-O-N
E: Oh, cool
Awkward silence......
G: Do you want to play motorcycles?
E: Yeah!
And off they go!
