Mommy Loves You

Evan loves this position. He loves tucking his little arms and hands up under his chin.

Here is Evan after a bath, but what I didn't get a picture of was Charla after Evan peed all over her. It was hilarious! There was so much of it! That's probably what he was doing in this picture. :)

Grandma Sheri Visits

Grandma Sheri came to visit this last weekend. She had so much fun changing diapers, feeding and playing with lil' Evan. Grandma was also very helpful around the house and let Charla and I get out on a date. We Saw Shrek 3 and ate In-n-Out, but hurried home because Charla missed Evan so much.

This weekend we also went to Justin & Chelsea's house. Joshy and Taylor came up with us also. Mom wanted a picture of all her grandbabies. Here is (from right) Cole, Brooks, Evan, Trace, and Taylor. It seems like a lot of work now, but when they are all 2-4 years old, we are going to have so much fun going to the zoo togehter.

He's Finally Here!!!

Evan Jarom Martin was born May 9th at 12:29pm in Mesa, AZ. He weighed in at 9 lbs, 1oz and 21.5 in long.

We showed up at the hospital 10pm the night of the 8th and they broke Charla's water at 7am, followed closely by an epidural.

After just an hour of pushing, the little Whopper came out. Charla was a champ! For the first four hours lil' Evan was wide awake. He didn't cry that whole time.

There has been some speculation as to which parent Evan looks like. All the evidence has been reviewed and it is conclusive that the boy looks like his father! Here is a picture of Jarom when he was 4 an 5 weeks old.

Sorry Harmons, but looks like the Martin genes are just a bit stronger! Good luck with the next one though ;)

MonKey HAte PAiNt!!!

Monday we spent painting our son's room. If you can't tell, that is called Rejuvenate green. We did two adjacent walls green, and the other two cream. You really have to see it to take in all its splendor ;)

Our Morning Walks

Ever since I have been up and about from back surgery we've been going on walks every morning. It's been great weather, so how could we not take advantage of a beautiful day! At first we started walking to get out of the house, but lately we have alterior motives. Charla wants this baby out like Yesterday, so now she likes walking every chance she gets.

Our Niece Haleigh

Here is our 4 year old niece that Charla watches 4 days out of the week. For those who do not know Haleigh, she is the daughter of Charla's twin sister, Chaundra. She is the funnest little girl. She loves coloring, My Little Pony, swimming, and as you can see from the picture-- posing! She has been a huge help while I was recovering from my back surgery and as Charla nears the end of her pregnancy. All I need to do is teach her to cook dinner and we'd be set! (If only she were taller) Haleigh has learned the alphabet and is practicing writing words. She is doing great at staying between the lines. We love having her around... that is when she is not talking in her creepy Gremlin voice that she does every once in a while.

Baby, Oh Baby!

Here is Charla 8+ months pregnant. This was taken at her baby shower. You have to admit she looks pretty darn good for a 8mo. prego!
