Rock Band!

Evan LOVES it when uncle Nate comes over and brings his Rock Band! He loves to play every instrument and loves singing into the mic and the headset :) He makes us die every time but he loves it! Haleigh was really getting into it, she's such a great singer!

My Race Car Bed!

So, thanks to Justin and Chelsea we have figured out a solution to Evan's bed problem! He now has his new Race Car Bed! We moved our guest bed into his room and went shopping for new sheets. I suspected he would go right for Thomas The Train, Ah I was right! Uh-oh, 5 seconds later...I want Dora, I want Dora! Hmmmm.... So we go through all of our choices again (not that he can't have Dora! I just wanted him to be sure :) ) Then he saw the Race Cars! Oh it was all over from there. Even though he's never seen the movie, he instantly fell in love! (need to buy that movie) So we get home and he is just so excited he wouldn't let them go, he even cried when I put them in the washer because "I hold my race car sheets mom!" Ok, buddy, as soon as I wash them! He slept like a champ ON the bed :) And all day today he would say "I take a nap on my race car bed with race car pillow and race car sheets!" It's so cute, he would go lay down for 5 minutes, pretend to take a nap and the cycle went on for most of the afternoon like that :) Here's some pics, and of course Haleigh had to get in on that action :) They were posing and giving each other kisses, so cute :)

Me thinks he needs a new bed!

So this is my montage to my little Evan sleeping on the floor. Lately he prefers sleeping on the floor to the bed, as this is a daily occurrence in our house now. Almost every nap I find him in his favorite place, the little corner behind the rocking chair. And at night I find him either behind the rocking chair, in the rocking chair, by the closet or my favorite one is when he fell asleep under his bed :) I'm pretty sure he's outgrown his crib mattress as he is end to end on that thing, and I don't think they're made to sustain 30 plus pound children! Me thinks he needs a new bed! Well it's in the works buddy, you'll hopefully have a new bed soon!

Happy Anniversary!

We just celebrated our 7th anniversary! We went and got pedis, had some dinner and hit up a movie. After 7 years I can say that I know the secret to a good marriage..... HARD WORK :) Laugh a lot and love a lot! I can say through all the challenges we've had, especially recently, it's so great to have a husband as wonderful as Jarom who is willing to put in the work to make our marriage great. Now don't get me wrong, I have to put in the work too but that's what makes it great; if each person is willing to do what it takes. Not only does Jarom work hard at being a great husband and father, he literally works hard to provide for this family. He's such a great example to his son and we are so blessed to have him in our lives. Love you babe! And, he's totally secure in his manhood to go get a pedi with his wife for their anniversary :) And HOT too!

Some new pics

Here are a couple pics from the camping trip that Evan and Jarom were able to go on with his cousins. Aren't they so cute?!

We had a wonderful visit with Grandma Sheri. Evan warmed up to her right away and was really sad when she left :( Thanks for coming to visit G'ma!

Here's a couple of pics of Evan with his new friend Alex. He's actually some sort of cousin or another :) Jarom's aunt and uncle's son. Evan and him became friends right away and Heidi got some great action shots of them jumping on the couch.

Crafty?

Ok, so those of you who know me know that I don't have a crafty, creative bone in my body so this was really hard for me!  But I'm determined to do it even if I'm not good at it.  So Evan's music teacher sent us home with a craft and my first thought was to huck it!  Then Haleigh was like, do we get to make those????  Dang!  I guess!  They turned out pretty cute and they had a good time which is all that matters.  In the words of my friend Lacey, we do it for the children  :)  Now, I'm kind of excited to see what she sends us home with next week!
