Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone!  Evan was a skeleton for Halloween.  We didn't know when we bought the costume a month ago that it was going to be 85 degrees at night on Halloween!  Evan was pretty sweaty!  Needless to say, he wouldn't wear his hood.  He had fun though.  We went to our ward trunk or treat.  At first he was a little apprehensive to go up to people, but then when he realized they were giving him candy  he started going to each car by himself.  He, however, would not let the people put the candy in his bag.  He would snatch it from them when they got close, and put it in his bag himself :)

Who ripped one?!

Check it! I just got back from church early. I was sitting in Sunday School when I left to take Evan to change his diaper. When I returned the Sunday School teacher came to sit next to me. I thought he wanted me to read. No, no... he wanted to tell me that my slacks were ripped in the back. My immediate thought was "when did this happen?!", which was immediately proceeded by "how long have I been walking around church like this?!". Charla had to be at the chapel early because she teaches Sunbeams and they have a Primary Program today, so she was unable to give me aonce-over before leaving the house, as usual. Surely this gapping hole in my pants would not have been missed by her eagle eye. The bummer of the hole thing is that these are the slacks that go to my only suit.  And Charla just got home from church, and she still hasn't stopped laughing!  And, last week, Evan split his pants during church!

Aren't my men handsome :)  I know, Evan's holding an Eggo waffle, I couldn't get him to put it down.  He thought I was stealing his breakfast!

Trip to Apple Orchard

We took Evan out to this Apple Orchard/Pumpkin Patch last week.  It was so fun.  We got a little nervous on our way out there because it was raining.  But, as soon as we got there the rain stopped!  Then as soon as we left, like a mile down the road it started again!  It's like it stopped just for us :)  We took him through a corn maze where he discovered the joys of mud puddles, he had to stomp in every single one!  The corn maze took forever because of that :)  We took him on a hay ride to the pumpkin patch which he loved, he loved all the big tractors.  We got some fresh apple pie and apple bread, homemade ice cream, and fudge, Delicious!  Evan and Jarom found some really huge grasshoppers in the orchards to play with.  It was a lot of fun!

The mud puddles were cute for the first 5 minutes :)

Happy Birthday Haleigh!

I can't believe that another year has gone by!  Haleigh just turned six!  Chaundra and I were looking at Haleigh's birthday pics from last year and just can't believe how grown up she is.  She is doing really well in 1st grade and gets smarter by the minute!  The other day she said something to Chaundra and then she waited a second, looked at Chaundra with little bit of attitude and said, "Did you understand me?!"  Me and Chaundra were laughing so hard.  We love you Haleigh!

Evan's 1st Mr. Potato Head Creation

What a great toy!  Evan loves his new Mr. Potato Head.  At first I was trying to get him to put it together "right" with the eyes and nose in the proper places. (I don't know why!)  Then I realized that is not the fun of the toy!  So I let him go to town and this is what he came up with :)  This toy keeps him entertained for hours!  The last two are when Jarom put lips in his mouth to be silly, then Evan found a pair of lips so he could be silly too.  Then I told him to give daddy a kiss!  He thought it was so funny to kiss with those lips on :)
