Some new pics

Here are a couple pics from the camping trip that Evan and Jarom were able to go on with his cousins. Aren't they so cute?!

We had a wonderful visit with Grandma Sheri. Evan warmed up to her right away and was really sad when she left :( Thanks for coming to visit G'ma!

Here's a couple of pics of Evan with his new friend Alex. He's actually some sort of cousin or another :) Jarom's aunt and uncle's son. Evan and him became friends right away and Heidi got some great action shots of them jumping on the couch.

Crafty?

Ok, so those of you who know me know that I don't have a crafty, creative bone in my body so this was really hard for me!  But I'm determined to do it even if I'm not good at it.  So Evan's music teacher sent us home with a craft and my first thought was to huck it!  Then Haleigh was like, do we get to make those????  Dang!  I guess!  They turned out pretty cute and they had a good time which is all that matters.  In the words of my friend Lacey, we do it for the children  :)  Now, I'm kind of excited to see what she sends us home with next week!

Evan's writing!

Ok, so I know my kid's not a genius or anything but he can write an O!  He was drawing on his white board and he kept saying O mama, O.  And I was like yeah, buddy an o good job (totally not paying attention like a good mom!)  He just kept saying it over and over again, so I finally turned around and to my surprise he had actually written an O!  I was like good job buddy, do another one.  So he wrote a bunch more and then erased them and did a bunch more.  And if he drew an O, and the ends didn't match up he would scribble it out cause it wasn't good enough!  Uh-oh!  He's going to be just like me!  Yikes!  All the other scribbles you see, those are B, C, and E :)  Except the big one, that's an o he messed up!  He loves his letters!

Update!

So, for now, the bees are gone! Thank goodness! According to many people we've talked to the bees are very likely to return if the hive is not removed so we'll see. My property manager said if they come back then they will cut into the wall.
I finally feel like Summer is starting! And it's jam packed! Jarom and Evan are on their way back as we speak from a Father/Son campout. (Pictures soon to follow) Evan started swim lessons last week which he did soooo good at. He's always loved the water and never been afraid to go under. The teacher kept watching him for a reaction when I dunked him. I told her she could stop, he wasn't going to freak out :) She was very impressed :) And so was I! There were 2 other 2 year olds in his class that can straight up swim! That will be Evan soon I just know it :)
And this week he starts his music class, which i'm very excited for. I also signed him up for a mom and me cooking class next month which sounds fun. Haleigh is out of school this week so we'll be spending a lot more time with her which makes Evan sooooo happy :) Haleigh was so brave at the pool last week and went down the big water slide! She was so scared and came back down like twice but she finally did it and now she wants to go to the pool every day!!!! Chaundra and Haleigh are moving to the neighborhood next to us this next couple of weeks. We have one grandparent coming to visit this week. And another set of grandparents, and great grandparents in a couple weeks. We're very excited!!!! Busy, Busy, Busy!

BEES!

Of course we've only lived in our house two weeks and we have a life threatening problem!  Bees!  Bees everywhere!  We've got a swarm of bees making a hive/nest in our wall!  They swooped in within minutes and have found a home.  It wouldn't be so scary except Jarom is allergic to bees!  And of course we can't find his Epi-pen anywhere.  And of course the pharmacy can't find record of it and of course we have to wait 48 hours for them to contact our doctor!  The bees will be gone by then!  And of course our property manager wants to take the cheap way out and maybe not remove the hive, so then the bees could quite possibly return in a week or month and try to make their home again!  I'm still trying to figure how how to get him to understand how serious of a problem this is!  I can tell on the phone that he thinks I'm a dumb girl, but he doesn't know who he's dealing with!  He even said on the phone, well if it's just 4 or 5 bees.....  Dude, you think I'd be calling the pest control for 4 or 5 bees!  Try 4 or 500!  My bathroom sounds like there's an airplane in there!  He also said, I know you probably won't know this but which direction is the wall facing?  I was like, East!  Ha!  I'm not as dumb as you think!  We'll see what happens, waiting for the pest man now!

He Just A Wittle Guy...

Here's a pic I came across of me and my best friend Steve Chandler in our Sunday school class ('91).
