Family Pictures

Our good friend Diana just did our family pictures. I just can't thank her enough for how great they turned out! We haven't had family pictures taken since Evan was 8 months old! And he's 2 1/2 now! I can't wait to put them up in our house! Thanks again Diana! I can give out her info if anybody is looking for someone to take pictures! Sorry I posted so many, it was hard to stop! I'm convinced I have the cutest kid on the planet :)

Peanut Butter Jelly Time!

Who doesn't love a peanut butter and jelly face! And a potty training update! After 2 weeks I would say that Evan is 95% potty trained! He hasn't had any accidents for like a week and a half. He still needs a little help with the pooping, but who doesn't right? ;) It takes him a couple tries but he's at least not pooping in his pants and he's telling me when he has to go, even if it's a false alarm sometimes; hey, it happens to the best of us :) I put him in a pull up at night but he's been waking up dry every day so I almost think I could do away with those. (not quite yet, not that brave!) We're so proud of him!!!!!

Pumpkins!

One of Evan's favorite things to do is ride his bike around the neighborhood and check out all Halloween decorations. He always calls the pumpkins and skulls "smiley faces" :) So, we're going with that :) We thought we'd make some smiley faces of our own! Evan and Haleigh were so excited until it came to the part where you actually had to touch the pumpkin guts and then they both chickened out! Haleigh kept plugging her nose, but she did a good job with the design and helping cut. When it was all done they were very proud of their pumpkins!

Let the potty training begin!

One word to describe potty training..... Frustrating! :) Although Evan is cute in his new underwear, he's not so cute when he pees on the floor :) He gets the concept pretty much. He can pee almost every time I put him on the potty but he also gets so into whatever he's doing or watching that he pees and doesn't even notice! I just watched him pee watching Tom and Jerry and it didn't even phase him! He's totally naked and out it comes and he's standing in a puddle but his eyes never left the TV! And he's running around holding his butt cheeks together trying not to poop, tooting all over the place! It's hilarious! I'm pretty sure it won't be hilarious when he poops in his underwear later, when I take my eyes off him for a second! It could be happening right now! I'm not sure it's safe to take 10 minutes to blog about this! :) Can I get a holla from all my potty training moms out there! I'd love to hear your stories and tips so I don't feel like I'm alone. And thanks to Christine for making me feel like I was doing good all day!

Sweet Moments

There are many days when Evan thinks he doesn't need a nap. He comes out with a big grin on his face and says I'm all done nap mom! So I turn him right back around, because I'm NOT all done nap! I give him some books and tell him it's still quiet time and to read quietly on his bed. This is what I hope for every time :)

Kids Say The Darndest Things!

Evan cracks me up daily! A couple of days ago I sent Jarom and Evan to the store to get ice cream for milkshakes. When they got back Evan was so excited. I took one carton out of the bag and put it in the freezer and Evan says, "That's mine." I put the second one in the freezer and he said, "That's daddy's." What!? What about me?! Then he does his cute little fake laugh as if to say uh, what about you?
Yesterday I made delicious chocolate zucchini bread. I took one loaf out of the oven and he said, "That's mine." I took the second loaf out and he said, "That's Haleigh's" What?! What about me? The fake laugh again :)
He has also recently started saluting us and saying, "Yes sir!" So cute, Seriously don't know where he got that!
Oh, that kid cracks me up! He is just the joy and the light of my life :)
